ABOUT US

OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE:

We make safe space for the whole woman.

Equipping her to champion her holistic health, development and advancement.

Curating intentional, inclusive ecosystems that align with and support her core needs and interests.

Disrupting and transforming systems that comprise her well-being.

Helping her design a harmonious and fulfilling life that she loves.

And empowering her to lead, support and mobilize other women in advancing systemic change.

WE HAVE FIVE GOALS:

Make a safe space for you to show up as your whole self.

Connect you with strong, inclusive support systems that meet your fundamental needs and align with your interests.

Encourage you to help and support other women along your journey.

Equip you with tools and services to champion your holistic health, development, and advancement.

Help you find greater satisfaction and fulfillment in your everyday life.

How We Pursue Our Mission

We firmly believe in providing a higher level of holistic care for all women, especially women of color. We offer a comprehensive framework of support services that focus on the whole individual, ensuring BIPOC women receive equal and equitable access to standardized care that meets their distinctive needs. Although we use language that speaks to women specifically, we wholeheartedly embrace and support people of all races, ethnicities, faiths, ages, abilities, life stages and backgrounds.

Our programming supports the mind, body, spirit, and community of everyone in our network through services like coaching, counseling, consulting, workshops and training. We also give women the support and tools they need to create change that ripples into the future, positively affecting the well-being of generations to come.

At WELL Woman, we’re committed to building women-centric communities that give us permission to claim what we deserve, restore what we’ve lost, and create opportunities beyond our wildest dreams. Together, we are WELL Women.

OUR VALUES |

WELL WOMAN:

A woman who unapologetically prioritizes self-stewardship, examining her holistic growth to pursue her life goals and fulfill her fundamental needs. She is a fearless cycle breaker committed to uplifting and supporting intergenerational women in her home and community, and an advocate of women’s health, wealth and well-being.

OUR (HER)STORY
AND EVOLUTION

The concept of “Well Woman” is not new. In medicine, well-woman exams serve as essential preventative check-ups, focusing on everything from physical assessments to mental health checks to discussions of family and relationships dynamics.

While these visits accomplish a great deal, there are many other issues affecting well-being that need to be addressed in women’s lives. Research studies show that women suffer from trauma, depression, anxiety, negative body image, abuse, poverty, gender and racial/ethnic health inequities, wage disparities and other discriminatory issues at alarming rates, especially in BIPOC communities.

As a result, many report feeling overextended, overwhelmed, undervalued, unfulfilled, unsupported, unsatisfied, unaccepted or unloved. Women’s intersectional identities need to be addressed if we hope to meet their core needs in a society that doesn’t account for their full humanity. WELL Woman is a progressive, remedial solution to help women access services focusing on personal growth, wellness, and agency. We help guide and nurture women through their personal evolution and life transitions, and our services integrate our eight pillars of holistic wellness to address their fundamental needs.

Our ecosystem of professionals work diligently to offer preventative assistance, intervention and communal connections and resources to everyday women to help them reach their optimal potential. We are committed to creating inclusive spaces and opportunities that foster female agency, development, connections and giveback. Through our curation of holistic women’s networks and services, we are building sustainable, global ecosystems where women can thrive, be well and feel whole.

And we couldn’t be more proud to start this work and movement right here in the comeback city, Detroit.
